Go to websiteWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in mining operations. This will involve collaborating with other engineers and technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure. The role will also require the implementation of new technologies and the continuous improvement of existing systems to optimize performance and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and a proven track record in the mining industry.
- Develop basic and detailed electrical and instrument engineering works in a professional engineering organisation under the direction of the senior Discipline Leader / Manager to International & National codes & standards.
- Identify, propose and implement area for improvements in the field of Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering to enhance design and improve plant / system reliability.
- Strong understanding of Control Systems, PLC Systems.
- Strong understanding of Process / Utility Flow Diagrams (PFD’s / UFD’s) and development of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) to best industry practice and international Standards.
- Development of Protection and Coordination systems for LV / MV / HV installations.
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD’s).
- Undertake E&I design, calculations, analysis & modelling using company engineering software works & generate reports.
Support procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of projects with activities including assisting with preparation of labour / material estimates and design packages operations and maintenance manuals. Develop tender Bid Evaluations (TBE), provide activity duration inputs for schedules. - Design electrical installations, equipment, controls and instrument.
- Requirements to industry best practice considering maintenance requirements.
- Prepare design information and the documentation for Projects; Reports, Criteria, Specifications, Data Sheets, Load Lists, Cable Sizing, Cable Schedules, etc. in English & Indonesian as required.
- Work with Engineering and Construction personnel in the office and site to understand key issues and identify ways to improve the Project Design and Construction using sound engineering practices.
- Ensure the appropriate construction and operational procedures are developed and followed during the execution of a Project.
- Undertake Vendor inspections, FAT’s, progress measurement, develop reports.
- Prepare regular project progress reports and other information to reflect on going work include Isct from civil engineer.
- Coordinate, mentor and review works from Design Engineers and Drafting Staff.
The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Previous experience in the mining industry is highly desirable, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Strong technical skills in electrical design, maintenance, and troubleshooting are essential. The ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex technical concepts is also important. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in the mining industry is required.
